Services for Organisations
THESE ARE
TRICKY TIMES!
Organisations are coping with exhausted staff, the brave new world of hybrid working, financial crunches and for many, a realisation that wellbeing is something we can’t afford to ignore any longer if we want thriving communities and motivated, healthy staff. So what can YOU do about it?
The answer is: probably, lots! And that's where I come in. Whether you're a small NGO trying to stop staff burning out or a big organsation trying to mainstream wellbeing or upskill your managers, I can help you figure out what's going wrong, what you can do about it and help implement at least some practical next steps. I work with organisations throughy my company IW Response Associates and below you 'll find details of some of the standard services we offer. What would work for you? Do you need to start with a way to find out? Let's chat to find out - click here to book in a 30 minute zoom introductory meeting or just drop me a message.
INVEST IN A HEALTHY WORKPLACE, REAP THE BENEFITS
Well, even before COVID the data was clear: hard-nosed private sector research showed that investing in staff mental health is a measurably significant factor influencing productivity and workplace performance. In 2019 Deloitte put a price tag on it: for every £1 spent by employers on staff wellbeing, they get back £5 in reduced staff absence, presenteeism and staff turnover. And investing in workplace mental health is now regarded as essential to deliver duty of care and healthy workplaces according to everyone from the World Health Organisation to the Common Humanitarian Standard, the UK’s Health and Safety Executive and the NHS.

A two-hour workshop that covers the basics of stress management, along with polls inviting staff to assess their stress levels, coping strategies and psychological risk management needs.
Findings from the workshop are then turned into charts and analysed in a written workshop report - with practical recommendations tailored for your team/organisation, designed to inform decision-making over limited budgets/capacity.
Cost £800 approx including report.

I provide practical advice and recommendations for organisations working on developing mental health/wellbeing psychological risk management strategies for their organisations.
I specialise in smaller organisations that don't need or can't afford full scale Employee Assistance Programmes or elaborate in house services.
Often combined with one or a series of diagnostic workshops with staff, I can work with you to identify organisational strengths and vulnerabilities, assess psychological risks facing your staff and develop practical, realistic mitigation strategies tailored to needs and budget.
Cost depends on commission.

Please book in an initial chat to discuss your needs, or just email me with your thoughts and we can take it from there.

This is a service for team leads facing complex ethical and personnel decisions and leadership challenges. Based on the technical concept of supervision in clinical health work.
I offer one off/ad hoc sessions for managers facing particular challenges or decisions, wanting a safe, confidential space to reflect on and talk through challenges arising.
This includes decision making, handling a staff member disclosing, handling a critical incident, planning a risky deployment).
This is not therapy, it’s more a space to reflect and get a bit of help thinking through ways to handle a tricky situation. Current clients receiving this service include SOS Mediterranee.
Cost: £100 per hour.
If this sounds like what you need - click to set up an initial chat, or email me with details of your needs.

One hour sessions for individuals to prepare psychologically for missions, or to debrief on return. (For group preparation/debriefing workshops - see section below).
Pre departure briefings go over expected psychological risks/challenges, and mitigation and management strategies.
Post mission briefings offer an opportunity to get a psychological check up, reflect on and process experiences, talk over any areas of concern, go over potential longer term impacts and mitigation strategies and signpost on to self support or professional resources. Also available privately for independent consultants/freelancers.
Cost: £100 per hour.
Email me for more information, or click to book in a 30 minute chat.

Group reflections are opportunities for staff to step back in groups (usually using teams), to check in together, talk and reflect on any challenges with the safety and support of an expert facilitator.
It could be in the context of a specific incident or group task/challenge, pre or post mission training/reflection or just time to connect - particularly useful for remote/hybrid teams.
Particularly useful and recommended as part of resolving conflict, debriefing incidents, providing structured peer support, as part of vicarious trauma risk mitigation, or as part of sustaining team relationships when hybrid working or working remotely.
Organisations I’ve done this for include human rights groups.
Group reflection sessions typically last 60-90 minutes and the fee is around £200-300 per session - depending on numbers/length and frequency.
Feel free to email me for more information or click to book in some time to chat through your needs.

Maybe you want to assess perceptions of psychological risk across a global organisation, like my client HelpAge.
Whatever you have in mind, I'm happy to chat - and if IW Response Associates can't help you, to point you in the direction of those who can.
